Daily Prayers: Entering His Courts With Praise

Daily Prayers: Entering His Courts With Praise

“What a beautiful thing, God, to give thanks,
To sing an anthem to you, the High God!
To announce your love each daybreak, and your faithfulness at night.”
-Psalm 92: 1-2 (Message Version)

In the thralls of the universe, all of creation has a built in response to the sound of God’s name. Throughout history and cultures many eloquent names have been given to God in order to describe passion. Emotion and praise can not merely be translated in words and the oral language. The heart of worship is the soul. The soul of the creation touching the most divine essence of the mighty Creator. Ancient of Days. Great I AM. Most High. Scripture tells of the earth trembling at the mere sound of His name. To think that every time daily prayers are offered to God the whole earth reacts to the mere sound of His name is overwhelming to say the least.

When focusing on the personal relationship that God desires to establish with us, it is easy to overlook the extreme holiness of God. As humans, we tend to become absorbed in our little world, thus forgetting to raise our eyes to the majestic qualities of the world around us and know the true power of God. Our daily prayers need to be so much more than mere requests for help with hectic lives. It is essential that every Christian understand that part of our daily prayers need to be the actual praise of a mighty God!

Genesis explains that mankind was created out of the image of God, thus we are the only beings in creation that share traits with the Creator. Just as we crave to establish personal relationships with those that are important to us, so does God. Our heart and soul was crafted out of his image. God understands our inner most desires for connection and understanding because His heart carries the same desires.

The most beautiful part of understanding Christianity is that the God that formed the brilliant stars in the sky and the deep blue of the ocean wants nothing more than to sit down with individuals and hear about their day. Daily prayers can be merely sitting in the silence with God and sharing the smallest details of your week.

The first step in developing a prayer life is setting aside time for daily prayers. It isn’t enough to run to God when the sky is falling, then to never communicate until the next scare. God desires to create such a deeper relationship with you than that! Daily prayers are the first step towards true conversations with God. Not everything uttered to God needs to be a monumental thought process. Merely sitting in the park observing the beauty that he created is a conversation with God!

Many Christians that create powerful prayer lives use certain daily prayers at some point during the day. These prayers could be for safety, family members, and or work. Some find the set pattern of ritualistic tradition comforting. There is no set right or wrong way to develop communication with God. There are no right words verses wrong words. The significant part of prayer is that the more the soul spends connecting with God, the more God can work on the soul. Every situation will not be altered in life. Cancer today can still be cancer tomorrow. There is no understanding of why God doesn’t change difficult situations for the better.

Jesus never promised that life as a Christian would be easy, what he did promise is that he would be with us. Scriptures state that God would never leave our side and that he will continuously work for good to come from every situation. Daily prayers enable us to present our lives to God to enable him to begin the work that we have requested.

Situations may not change, but God can and does change us. When we submit our will to God and offer daily prayers for guidance and wisdom God can take us to places we never imagined. Reaching for God, seeking God, and finding God all are the result of daily prayers.
