Prayer for a Job

Prayer for a Job

The current economic crisis has plenty of families scrambling desperately for cash. The current economic crisis is tough on young adults just entering the job market out of college. The current economic crisis is affecting, well, everyone.

In these tough times we’re all making sacrifices in one way or another. Some are more fortunate and are still doing well for themselves. Others have recently been laid off or are enduring a long dry spell of unemployment.

These individuals have a lot of questions. They want to know why they are struggling financially right now. Why won’t God come down and give them a hand? Some of you may have even screamed, “God where are you???”

God may not appear existent in these tough times but the big guy upstairs is still holding down the throne and holding it down well.

God cares for each and every one of you. Right now you may be experiencing an intense stretch of financial suffering and sacrifice but rest assured you will eventually climb out of that hole. Remember that it’s a long journey up a mountain, but once you get there you’ll experience the most amazing reward in the world – a gorgeous sight filled with new wonders.

Trust in the Lord and follow him with all your heart. It’s okay to question him or his word at times. It’s also understandable that you’ll get frustrated and aggravated during rough stretches, but never lose your faith in the Lord. It says in the bible that God will never throw more at you then you can handle.

If it appears recently as if God has thrown a lot at you, rest assured God holds you dear in his heart and is slowly expanding your faith. We may question why we have to suffer but God sees a rainy day as a testament to our faith.

Think about it, which days do you hold dear in your heart? Certainly you’ve had some great days filled with no worries and you enjoyed them for the moment but more than likely the days that stand out are the days where very little light was shining through. You were down in the dumps, depressed, and in despair. But you rose up!

Stand up and RISE! Stand up and RISE!

God is ordering us to rise up. We’ve been struck but we are not broken. We’ve failed but never lost focus, struggled through despair but never lost hope. We continue to rise and that my friends, is sometimes all you can do.

People who write off Christians as “soft” have obviously never experienced the lifestyle. Christians are not soft. We’re strong, bold, and powerful forces. If you are under the suspicion that everything in a Christians life is easy then you got it all wrong. It’s not like you are born again and completely washed free of pain and suffering.

It’s often the exact opposite. With great sacrifices comes great struggle. Christians make a lot of sacrifices everyday now don’t they?

I would like to extend a great prayer for a job for all those individuals out there struggling through a recent job loss or long stretch of unemployment.

Father God, thank you for being the loving and kind God you are. Thank you for giving us the strength and courage to stand up after we’ve been knocked down. Thank you for continuing to give us that strength. Father we know you are a God or mercy and grace. But recently many of my fellow brothers and sisters have struggled through a lack of financial support. I kneel before you today and ask that you would provide for those in need. Father, I ask that you reward their faith and discipline. We do know that you’ll never give us more than we can handle nor forsake us. Provide for those who seek you today God. Reward their commitment.

If you feel like you need additional prayer for a job, I encourage you to step forward today. Consult a fellow Christian brother or sister and ask for prayer over this situation. Do not hide you need from the church. Open up and allow others to reach in and help. Open up to God and allow him to come in.

It’s time the suffering came to a halt. Allowing others to join in the prayer for a job will open up doors and other opportunities you never thought imaginable will present themselves.

God Bless!
