Prayer for Children
Jesus Christ had a very special place in his heart for the children. While he loves us all, I do believe that he does some simply amazing things through the eyes, ears, and hearts of the children.
What makes a child so special in the eyes of Jesus? Is it the innocence? How about the free spirit? What about the lack of an ability to judge? The possibilities are quite endless when you add them all up. It’s a combination of all those things and more that make the heart of a child dear to the heart of Jesus.

God wants to support and protect your children. When you communicate with God through prayer you automatically establish a line where you can make requests for your children, give thanks, and pray for healing among many other things.
Prayer for children is powerful and God wants to fulfill those promises. Did you know that God tells us in the bible that he will grant any request made through prayer that is not selfish and is in-tuned with God’s will?
How selfish are you pray for your children? Not at all. In fact, if you didn’t pray for your children you would be considered a bad parent. God wants your children to grow up in perfect health, obtain wisdom and knowledge, as well as fulfill their purpose and calling in life.
He wants to reach out and begin molding your children at an early age so by the time they reach their early adult years; they’ll become great young men and women of the next generation. God is molding future leaders in this present day.
Pray for your children and raise them in a Christian household. Remember the passage, “As for me and my household?” Live it.
You should request prayer for your children in church, with your family and friends, and with your pastor. It’s not a selfish thing to ask for. Even if your child is perfectly healthy and well, you can never send God enough blessings through prayer. Thank God everyday if you do not already.
If your child was struck with an early illness or condition that could affect his or her well being in the future, ask God for his special hand of healing. Members of the church want to reach out and say prayers for children because they understand that they are the future. How can we continue to grow and improve if the future is lost?
God understands this concept as well. However tragedies occur and bad news does happen. Children are prone to certain diseases and illnesses, but guess what? God is a God that can part the Red Sea and move the mountains. He can heal the sick and perform some incredible miracles. Does your child need a miracle?
If so I encourage you to pray today for that miracle. I encourage you to reach out to the church body and request that the entire congregation gets behind you. Talk to the pastor about prayer for your children. If you do not have a child in need, reach out and pray for others with a child that is in need. You do not even necessarily need to know the exact name of neither the child nor the condition.
God understand regardless. He reaches out to those who ask and trust that their promise will someday be fulfilled.
Doctors are hired as professionals to understand, study, and diagnose certain conditions and diseases. However they are human and not always a 100% correct. Sometimes they misdiagnose or misjudged the severity of the condition. We hire and receive the advice of Doctors because they understand the situation better than we do and they’re somebody we can talk directly to and receive near direct advice.
God on the other hand is always right and “where there is a will there is a way.” Sometimes God needs to intervene and heal a situation that is simply unexplainable and not comprehendible to the Doctor. A situation with odds stacked so high and so against the patient that not even mere luck can justify it. I’m talking about God, the real God we serve that shows up every now and then to let us know that he still exists.
It’s time we recognized that and stopped blaming it on mere luck. It’s time we rose up and celebrated the mighty work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
